Mission of the ChristCare Group Leader
A ChristCare Group Leader is a Christian who has been prayerfully selected to serve a small group of 5 to 12 people. These group members meet on a regular basis to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and with one another and to equip one another for their ministry in daily life and other specific ministries to which the Spirit calls them.
Personal Qualities of a ChristCare Group Leader
A ChristCare Group Leader is one who;
- Desires a growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- Cares for people and encourages their growth in Jesus Christ
- Willingly accepts the responsibilities of serving as a ChristCare Group Leader and
- Is open to learn and eager to grow as a person and as a ChristCare Group Leader.
Qualifications to be a ChristCare Group Leader
A ChristCare Group Leader
- Is a member of St. Lorenz Lutheran Church
- Feels the call of God to become a ChristCare Group Leader
How to Become a ChristCare Group Leader
In order to become a ChristCare Group Leader, an individual
- Applies to be considered as a ChristCare Group Leader
- Participates in an interview with the Equippers of our ChristCare program
- Is selected by the Equippers to serve as a ChristCare Group Leader
- Commits to serve as a ChristCare Group Leader for a period of at least two years
- Completes ChristCare Group Leader training conducted by the Equippers
- Leads a ChristCare Group and
- Faithfully participates in quarterly SEA (Support, Encouragement, Accountability) Group meetings that provide ongoing support for the ChristCare Group Leader

- You serve in obedience to God
- You develop useful skills
- You are in the forefront of carrying out the congregation’s mission
- You bless and influence the lives of others
- You develop meaningful relationships
- You receive care and support when you need it
- You receive much more than you give
