Highlights of the Church Parking Lot committee report given by Mr. Dick Krafft include:

The proposed design includes an expanded and improved site for handicapped parking.

Consideration is being given to adding a “drop-off” lane on the west-side drive.

Lighting will be upgraded.

Cemetery drives could be included in the project.

Sidewalk and curbing on the north and west sides of the church will be replaced. We are considering burying pipes in the sidewalks to be able to heat them for snow and ice removal.

The project will be bid in January or February, with final Voters’ approval to follow.

Estimated total cost is $400,000 - $500,000. We have $100,000 of that already in the bank. Cemetery drives would be paid with cemetery funds. Additional monies needed to be raised would total $250,000 - $350,000.
