The first layer of asphalt has been poured and will be allowed to settle for a period of time to determine where repairs need to be made before the final layer is applied. We will know in about a month whether that will take place this fall or next spring. We appreciate your patience as we take the necessary time to make sure the parking lot is constructed in the best way possible.

The project has experienced some unanticipated expenses, due to several factors, including subsoil conditions that could not be known until the original asphalt was removed. Exact numbers are impossible to know at this time, but our best guess is that the final cost will exceed the original projection by less than 5%.
