4th GRADE NEWS
Mrs. Volz’s Class February 6-9, 2012
Author Book Order
Wednesday, February 8, is the last day to place an order for a book written by Buffy Silverman, the author who will visit our school in March.
Hearing Screening
Grades K, 2, 4, and 6 will receive a hearing screening on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 15 and 16. You will be notified if further testing is needed.
Scholastic Book Orders
Scholastic book orders were sent home last week. If you wish to order, please return the form with payment (to: St. Lorenz Lutheran School) by Monday, February 6.
Multiplication
Most students are doing a fine job learning their multiplication tables, and many have passed each quiz with flying colors. We will continue to review and take quizzes (multiplication, division, addition, subtraction) throughout the year.
Valentine Party
We will enjoy a brief Valentine’s Day party at the end of the day on Tuesday, February 14. Students are invited to bring valentines for their classmates. A class list may be found in the school handbook.
Reading Evaluation
Please have your child read “McBroom” for this week’s reading evaluation due on Thursday.
