Mr. Zeddies' Class Newsletter
January 29th, 2012
Greetings in Christ!
When I was the Director of Youth Ministry here at St. Lorenz, I sometimes wondered why teens didn't participate or seem interested in youth ministry activities, especially Bible study or spiritual growth opportunities. When I asked a youth director friend of mine about this, he replied, "Are they getting enough Jesus?"
Be sure that your 6th grader is "getting enough Jesus" in their lives. Encourage Sunday school attendance, take them to church, and have home devotions!
Religion - Our study of Jesus' early life and ministry continues. Emily Gehm is our Mission Friends presenter this week.
Math - There will be a quiz on chapter 5 - lessons 1-5 on Friday.
Our current unit project is a comparative shopping project. By this Friday, each student needs their list of the brand names, sizes, and prices for all the store's offerings of a type of food that they chose last week.
Social Studies - We are busy with our economics unit with this week's activities including; a) planning which materials will be needed for our bookmarks, b) collecting our bookmark materials, and c) manufacturing the bookmarks.
Science - A new unit, plate tectonics, will begin this week.
In Christ,
Mr. Zeddies
