Registration Packets will be sent home today with preschoolers who are eligible for preschool, pre-Kindergarten, and Kindergarten for the 2012-2013 school year. Please look for them in your child’s backpack! Three registration fee’s will be waived from all registrations received on or before Preschool and Kindergarten Round Up which takes place on Sunday, February 19. Are you ready to share the joy of movement and learning with your little ones? St. Lorenz is excited to offer a variety of learning and growing opportunities for young children between the ages of two and five years old. This winter, we are offering A Storytime with Mrs. Brenda Sievert on Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m.–12:15 p.m. Storytime includes listening to an exciting story, creating art projects, singing silly songs, and checking out books at the school library. This class takes place in the Yellow Classroom of the Early Childhood Center beginning on Tuesday, February 7, and concluding on March 27. All children three and under are asked to bring an adult with them.
Also this winter, we are offering a Movin’ and Groovin’ Class with Mrs. Michelle Block. This class takes place on Thursdays, from 11:15 a.m.–12:00 p.m. in the Early Childhood Gymnasium (enter through the School Office, gym will be past the first hallway on your right) beginning on Thursday, February 9, and concluding on Thursday, March 29. In this class, children will be exposed to a variety of large motor activities, and games, including ball play, movement activities, climbing, rhythmic movement and parachute play. All children are asked to bring along an adult. The cost for each session is $15.00 per child. Younger siblings are welcome to come along. On Sunday, February 12, we will resume our parenting series, “BRINGING UP KIDS WITHOUT TEARING THEM DOWN.”Our session will focus on “HOW TO MAKE YOUR CHILD FEEL SPECIAL.” All are welcome to join us from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Adult Ed. Room at St. Lorenz School. Free babysitting is available. If you have any questions call Kay at 652-2248.
